Large livestock, such as
equines require MORE
than just a stall and
tiny run to stand in all

Our Aim is to keep your horse Happy.

FEED AND FORAGE
We will provide your horse with good quality hay that is
free fed, so
your horse is always satisfied. Our hay is
traditionally shopped for before it is cut from the fields
(when prime forage is available), and stored indoors for
Maximum value. Careful plannning goes into every bale.

An appropriate
ration of grain is supplied on an individual
basis.

We also provide
Millenium Gold Vitamins and Mineral Salt,
in either block or
Loose Moormans Salt. Some pens are
provided with plain white loose salt also.

The ranch
water tanks are heated in the Winter months.

Weather permitting, One day per month horses are
encouraged to drink more water (with salt available). Since
the year 1998 we have found this practice (combined with
open space for horses to be able to move about freely) to be
quite effective in the prevention of colic and waste. Although
our herd size for an Alaskan Ranch is respectable, We also
have never had a case of ulcer, or stocking up.
We stand behind our feeding program.
To date we've never had a complaint from any client about
this practice we call picaninny (no racial slur intended). The
horses here are happy, and so are the clients (who have been
from different social, political and racial backgrounds).
